Jessica Daugherty (jdaugh) is a producer and director of documentary film and podcasts, a multimedia live production producer and performer, and co-founder of the production studio, Shrine13, in Portland, Oregon. She is a board member of the Documentary Producer’s Alliance, member of Women in Film PDX, and an alumni of Rotterdam Lab 2022, International Emerging Film Talent Association, and the New York Film and Video Council. She is also a founding member of Al Límite experimental performance collective, founding curator of the multilingual radio channel NettNettRadio.com, and a performing member of The Living Theatre between 2014-2020. Over a 14 year career in film, tv production, and non-fiction casting, she worked for two years as an associate producer for world renowned documentary filmmaker, George Stoney. After George passed in 2012, she began working with his former student and collaborator, Jim Brown as an associate producer for his documentary features Billy Joel: A Matter of Trust – The Bridge to Russia, (Showtime) and Free to Rock (PBS, ARTE, Sky Arts UK.) . In 2018, she won Best Producer at DOCLA for the feature Thank You for Supporting the Arts (directed by W. Alexander Jones.) In 2020, she produced the short doc La Tienda (directed by Karina Ripper,) a Vimeo Staff Pick 2020 that was featured in The Latino Experience on PBS in 2021. Her current feature in production, Pour the Water as I Leave, was a Spotlighted Project at Cannes Docs 2021 and was selected for Movies That Matter Take on Film and Impact Lab and the Annecy Film Festival MIFA Pitches in 2022. A student of Artaud and The Living Theatre, she understands that we are living in times of Emergency and artists must create work that “signal[s] through the flames.”
